The WiP session is devoted to the presentation of new and on-going research in real-time systems, theory, and applications. The primary purpose of the WiP session is to provide researchers with an opportunity to discuss their evolving ideas and gather feedback from the real-time community at large. Of particular interest are ideas and contributions that present significant paradigm shifts, explore unique and unconventional approaches to important problems, or investigate fundamental departures from conventional wisdom in adopted solutions. WiP topics include, but are not limited to:

The RTSS 2007 WiP session will be held during the symposium which runs December 3-6 in Tucson, Arizona, USA. Accepted submissions will be included in a separate RTSS WiP Proceedings, which will be distributed to all RTSS symposium participants and will be available electronically from the RTSS home page. There will be an opportunity to show your accepted WIP paper in a poster session, in addition to the brief oral presentation session.
Submissions should describe original on-going work.
Important dates
- Deadline for submissions: Friday, September 28.
- Notification of acceptance: Friday, October 12.
- Deadline for submission of camera-ready copy: Friday, October 26.
Formatting
- Submissions should not exceed four pages including references and figures -- papers exceeding four pages will not be reviewed.
- Papers should be formatted as single-space, double-column, in a 10 point font.
- All submissions should be in PostScript (PS) or PDF.
- Ensure the absence of bitmapped (type 3) fonts in your submission; they make life difficult for reviewers. For more information see this page.
Submission Instructions
- Papers should be submitted electronically at the RTSS web site before the deadline.
- Final/Camera-ready-copy of the paper should be sent to Jorgen Hansson (hansson@sei.cmu.edu).
