New! RTSS 2003 has Pre-Conference Workshops that you can still submit your work to.   Click here for more information.

The 24th IEEE International Real-Time Systems Symposium (RTSS) will be held in Cancun, Mexico from December 3-5, 2003.

The symposium will be preceded by one or more workshops of interest to the real-time and embedded systems research community at large.   Suggestions are welcome.

New This Year!

Two special tracks have been added to the traditional RTSS format.    These tracks are in addition to the regular RTSS format.

Each of the above special tracks has its own vice-chair and its own sub-committee.   Submissions to the special tracks will be reviewed and judged for acceptance by their respective sub-committees.    Submissions to RTSS 2003 will be reviewed and judged for acceptance by “regular” RTSS Program Committee members.    All accepted papers will be published in the IEEE Proceedings of the Symposium.

We expect these special tracks to expand the traditional RTSS horizons and provide a forum for the embedded real-time systems community to synergize both people and ideas with other related and perhaps overlapping communities.

Other noteworthy aspects of RTSS 2003 will include:

  • A Best Paper award and a Best Student Paper award will be presented.
  • A Keynote address will be a highlight of the conference.
  • The best papers will be forwarded to the Real-Time Systems Journal to be considered for publication after appropriate review based on journal guidelines.
  • A Work-In-Progress session will allow bleeding-edge research results to be presented.

As in previous years, the proceedings of the conference will be published by the IEEE Computer Society.
